On with Right, Off with Left

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “When one of you puts on his sandals let him start with his right, and when he takes them off let him start with his left; let the right be the first to be put on, and let the left be the first to be taken off.” [Sunan Abu Dawud]

Muslims are disciplined in all matters. This includes putting shoes on and taking them off. Everything reminds them that they have been sent to the world to serve high purposes. A person who is disciplined about the minute matters of life cannot be indisciplined about the purpose of life and serving its higher goals. It is not possible that a person who takes care in how to put on and take off his shoes be chaotic in running the rest of their life.

No Prophet After Me

Thawban (RA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.W) said: "The Hour shall not be established until tribes of my Ummah unite with the idolaters, and until they worship idols. And indeed there shall be thirty imposters in my Ummah, each of them claiming that he is a Prophet. And I am the last of the Prophets, there is no Prophet after me." Ridiculing Allah’s Commands

Abu Hurairah (radi Allahu anhu) narrated that the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “It was said to the children of Israel, ‘Enter the gate (of the town), prostrate (in humility) and say: Hittatun (repentance) i.e., O Allah! Forgive our sins.’ But they entered by dragging themselves on their buttocks, so they did something different (from what they had been ordered to do) and said, ‘Hittatun,’ but added, ‘A grain in a hair.’” [Sahih Bukhari] The Bani Israil have distinguished themselves in history as the most disobedient and rebellious of people.
