Pleasant Attitude with Wife
Aisha (radi Allahu anha) related that the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) would enter the house with a pleasing disposition and a smile on his lips. [Uswa-i-Hasna]
Again, the advice is for spouses to be cheerful, pleasant and light-hearted so that the home is a sanctuary from the problems of the world and not the very place that one wants to flee (Allah Forbid).
Ibn Masud (radi Allahu anhu) said, "Mix with the people on the condition that your religion is not injured, and joke with your family." [Sahih Bukhari]
