Even Ants glorify Allah. Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi Allah Anhu): I heard Allah's Messenger saying, . "An ant bit a Prophet amongst the Prophets, and he ordered that the place of ants be burnt. . So, Allah inspired to him, It is because one ant bit you that you burnt a nation amongst the nations of that glorify Allah?' " Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 54, Number 536

'Uthman bin 'Affan (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.W) said, "He who recites three times every morning and evening: 'Bismillahil-ladhi la yadurru ma'as-mihi shai'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i, wa Huwas-Sami'ul-'Alim (In the Name of Allah with Whose Name there is protection against every kind of harm in the earth or in the heaven, and He is the All-Hearing and All- Knowing),' nothing will harm him." “I urge you to follow my Sunnah and the way of the rightly-guided khaleefahs after me; adhere to it and cling to it firmly. Beware of newly-invented things, for every newly-invented thing is an innovation (bid’ah) and every innovation is a going-astray.” (Tirmidhi, Hadith 2676) The Qur’an commands us to follow the laws of Allaah and His Messenger, and it prohibits on introducing innovations into the religion very clearly. Hence we Muslims should revive the Sunnah and put an end to every bid’ah (innovation); we should not do any action until we know the ruling of Allaah concerning it. We see many people who invent many bid'ah in Islaam & claim that they love the Prophet (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam). Narrated Abu Sa`id:The Prophet (S.A.W.W) said, "You will follow the wrong ways, of your predecessors so completely and literally that if they should go into the hole of a mastigure, you too will go there." We said, "O Allah's Messenger (S.A.W.W)! Do you mean the Jews and the Christians?" He replied, "Whom else?" (Meaning, of course, the Jews and the Christians.) Aisha (radi Allahu anha) narrated: "I was not jealous of any wife of the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) as I was jealous of Khadeeja (radi Allahu anha), and it was not because I saw her. It was only because the Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) mentioned her so much, and because whenever he would slaughter a sheep, he would look for Khadeeja's friends to gift them some of it." [Jami At-Tirmidhi - graded sahih] If a person keeps good relations with another due to a common relative or friend, he/she should continue these relations even after the death of the person in common. Thus, one should give the relatives and friends of one’s expired spouse, parents, etc., the same consideration they used to during their lifetime. This is consistency in behaviour and constancy in character.

Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "In front of you is a difficult ascent (climb), which those who are heavily laden cannot get over." [Mishkat al-Masabih] Ever tried to bike up a steep mountain, or even hike to the top of one? Now add to your own weight three very heavy back-packs. The climb will become practically impossible. The more baggage you carry with you the more difficult it becomes to get to the top. Battling Shaytan to stay on the right path and please Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) who has prepared Jannat for us, is itself a very difficult job, like a tough climb. The Prophet (S.A.W.W) once climbed the mountain of Uhud with Abu Bakr, `Umar and `Uthman. The mountain shook with them. The Prophet (S.A.W.W) said (to the mountain), "Be firm, O Uhud! For on you there are no more than a Prophet, a Siddiq and two martyrs. Sahih al-Bukhari 3675

Abdullah bin 'Amr narrated that the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.W) said: “Whoever is silent, he is saved.” [Jami At-Tirmidhi, Chapters on the description of the Day of Judgement, Ar-Riqaq, and Al-Wara', Hadith: 2501]

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “When a morsel of any of you falls, he should pick it up and remove any of the dirt on it and then eat it, and should not leave it for Shaitaan...” [Sahih Muslim] This hadith tells us to pick up a fallen dry morsel of food and eat it after brushing off any dirt that might be on it. This is an expression of humility and also prevents Shaitaan from deriving blessings from our food.  Present-day Muslims hardly care for this directive of the Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) thinking that picking up dropped food will bring disgrace and dishonour upon them. To make matters worse, some even throw away unconsumed food in the garbage, while others deem it necessary to leave a little food in their plates as a sign of their manners or affluence! How far the Muslim community has departed from the teachings and excellent example of their Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam)!

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "Nothing keeps away the decree (of Allah) except prayer, and nothing increases the life (of man) except goodness; and man is only denied the provisions (of life) because of sins upon which he falls." [Ibn Majah] "Almsgiving extinguishes the wrath of Allah." [Tirmidhi] This hadith tells us many important things: 1. If we want to prevent misfortunes, accidents, and bad things in general from happening to us, we should make dua. Dua alone has the power to stall some misfortune that was decreed to befall us. 2. If we want to live longer, then we should practice what Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) defines as goodness. 3. If we want our rizq/provisions to increase, we should not commit sins. 4. If we don't want to be punished by Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) for our sins, we should give sadaqa/charity. Research suggests that those who spend 4-6 hours in various voluntary activities weekly live 6-8 years longer...

'Aisha(Radiallah Anha) reported Allah's Messenger (S.A.W.W) as saying:  Every one of the children of Adam has been created with three hundred and sixty joints; so he who declares the Glory of Allah(i.e., saying Allahu Akbar), praises Allah(i.e., Al-hamdu lillah), declares Allah to be One(i.e., La ilaha illallah), Glorifies Allah, and seeks forgiveness from Allah(i.e., Astaghfirullah), and removes stone, or thorn, or bone from people's path, and enjoins what is good and forbids from evil, to the number of those three hundred and sixty joints, will walk that day having saved himself from the Fire. The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “There will be a dispute following the death of a Khalifa, and a man of the Bani Hashim will flee from Al-Madina to Makkah (fearing that people will try to make him the Khalifa). (Recognizing him as the Mahdi) some of the people of Makkah will come to him and will bring him out against his will, and they will pledge allegiance to him between the corner (Black Stone) and the Maqam.  “An army will be sent against him from Ash-Shaam, which will be swallowed up by the earth in Al-Baida, between Makkah and Al-Madina. The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “The camp (field headquarters) of the Muslims on the day of the Great Battle (Malhamatil-Kubra) will be in Al-Ghutah, beside a city called Damascus, one of the best cities of Ash-Shaam.” [Sunan Abu Dawud] Al-Ghutah is about 8.5 km east of Damascus, the capital of Syria. Haitham bin Malik at-Tai narrates in marfu form, “Dajjal (before his proclamation of divinity) will rule over Iraq for two years, in which his justice will be praised and people will be drawn to him. Then he will one day ascend the pulpit and make a speech about Iraq (that I have established justice here). Then he will come before the people and say, ‘Has the time not come for you to recognize your Lord?’ On this a man will ask, ‘And who is our Lord?’ Dajjal will reply, ‘I am.’ On hearing this one of Allah’s servants will refute him. The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Since Allah created Adam there has been no Fitnah greater than the Fitnah of Dajjal (is to be) and Allah sent no prophet except that he warned his Ummah about Dajjal, and I am the last prophet and you are the best Ummah, (therefore), he will emerge among you. If he appears whilst I am among you, I will contend with him on behalf of each Muslim, but if he comes after I am gone then each Muslim must defend himself. And Allah will be the Protector and Caretaker of each Muslim. He will appear on the way between Shaam and Iraq. He will spread Fitnah/disaster left and right (everywhere). O Allah’s servants! Uqbah ibn Amir(RadiAllah Anhu) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him say, “Whoever hangs an amulet(Taweez) around his neck, then Allah will not fulfill his wishes; and Whoever hangs a seashell as a charm, then Allah will not leave him without penalty. ”  Musnad Ahmad, Number 16951, Sahih

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "He has (really) no faith who fulfills not his trust, and he has (really) no religion who fulfills not his promise." [Baihaqi] Always keep your word. Each time you keep a commitment you are rewarded by Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) for obeying Him. If you mix a few drops of wine in a glass full of water, it spoils the whole glass of water and makes it unfit for consumption. Similarly, dishonesty in any sphere of your life permeates and corrupts your entire nature and eeman. When a person’s words carry no weight, it only reveals his/her treacherous nature.  If you promise to be somewhere, make sure you are there on time. If you promise to call somebody back, do so on time. Don't commit what you cannot do. One minute means 60 seconds everywhere, no more. Make a habit of under-committing rather than over-committing.

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "If any one of you were to sit on a live coal until it burns his garment, that would be better for him than to sit on a grave." [Jami at-Tirmidhi - sahih hadith] If something is marked as a grave then we should not sit on it. Exactly how this damages us we have not been told, but the analogy of the harm done makes it clear that we should not do so: Sitting on something that might set fire to your clothes is preferable to sitting on graves.  Our limited human capabilities are not able to comprehend the world of the deceased to the extent that this warning makes sense to us. But the fact that Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) revealed to Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) to tell us not to do so is sufficient for the believers.

Narrated Abu Musa Al-Ashari (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "None is more patient than Allah against the harmful and annoying words He hears (from the people): They ascribe children to Him, yet He bestows upon them health and provision." Sahih Bukhari Vol. 9 : No. 475

Sahl bin Sa'd(RadiAllah Anhu) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu Alyhi Wasalam) said: "If the world to Allah was equal to a mosquito's wing, then He would not allow the disbeliever to have a sip of water from it." Jami` at-Tirmidhi » Chapters On Zuhd » Hadith#2320

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah (radhi Allahu anhu) said: "When An-Najashi died, the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, 'Pray for forgiveness for him.'" [Jami at-Tirmidhi - sahih hadith] We learn from this hadith that on being informed of a Muslim’s death one should supplicate for his/her forgiveness. When we pray for another’s forgiveness we hope that Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) will forgive us as well. We should also say, "We belong to Allah and to Him we return/ inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajioon." This is a reminder to us that we all have to die one day and return to our Creator. Keeping this in mind will allow us to lead a successful life; a life spent trying to earn the pleasure of Allah (subhana wa ta’ala). This wordly life is the one in which we plant the seeds: its harvest we are to consume in the form of Jannat or Jahannum.

Prophet (S.A.W.W) said: “I hope that no one of those who witnessed (the battle of) Badr and (Treaty) Hudaybiyah will enter Hell, if Allah wills.” I said: “O Messenger of Allah, doesn’t Allah say “There is not one of you but will pass over it (Hell); this is with your Lord, a decree which must be accomplished?” [19:71] He said: “Have you not heard that He says: ‘Then We shall save those who use to fear Allah and were dutiful to Him. The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "The most beloved fasting to Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, is the fast of Dawud (alaihis salam). He used to fast one day and not the next. And the most beloved prayer to Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, is the prayer of Dawud (alaihis salam). He used to sleep half the night, stand for one third of it (in prayer), and sleep for one-sixth of it." The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "The people will remain upon goodness as long as they hasten to break the fast." [Jami at-Tirmidhi - sahih hadith] With the certainty of the setting of the sun, the fasting person should break their fast without delay or hesitation. This is a sign of being on the rightly guided sunnah (path/example) of Muhammad (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam). It is preferred for the fasting person to not delay in breaking the fast once the sun has set. “The Sahabah of Muhammad (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) would be the first to break the fast and the last to eat their pre-dawn meals.” [Recorded by al-Baihaqi with a Sahih chain]

‘Umar ibn Abi Salamah said: I was a young boy in the care of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), and my hand used to wander all over the platter (of food). The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said to me, “O young boy, say Bismillaah, eat with your right hand, and eat from what is directly in front of you.” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 3576; Muslim, 2022). Narrated Abdullah bin Umar (RA): I heard Allah's Messenger (S.A.W.W) saying, "Everyone of you is a guardian, and responsible for what is in his custody. The ruler is a guardian of his subjects and responsible for them, a husband is a guardian of his family and is responsible for it, a lady is a guardian of her husband's house and is responsible for it, and a servant is a guardian of his master's property and is responsible for it." I heard that from Allah's Messenger (S.A.W.W) and I think that the Prophet (S.A.W.W) also said, "A man is a guardian of is father's property and is responsible for it, so all of you are guardians and responsible for your wards and things under your care." Narrated Ibn Umar (RA): That the Prophet (S.A.W.W) said: "Indeed each of you is a shepherd and all of you will be questioned regarding your flock. The commander who is in authority over the Muslims is responsible and he will be questioned regarding his responsibility. The man is responsible over the inhabitants of his house and he is the one who will be questioned about them. The wife is responsible in her husband's house and she will be questioned about it. The slave is responsible regarding his master's property, and he will be questioned about it. Indeed each of you is a shepherd and each of you will be questioned about his flock." [Saheeh Muslim, Book of Government, Hadeeth No.1829 Jami' At-Tirmidhi, Book of Jihad, Hadeeth No.1705]

Thawban reported: When the verses about gold and silver were revealed, they said, “What kind of wealth should we acquire?” Umar(RadiAllah Anhu) said, “I will learn it for you.” He rode on his camel until he caught up to the Prophet and I followed him. Umar said, “O Messenger of Allah, what kind of wealth should we acquire?” The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “One of you should acquire a grateful heart, A tongue of remembrance, and A believing wife to help you in the matters of the Hereafter(Akhirah).” Sunan Ibn Majah Hadith# 1856,Sahih

Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “A woman is married for four things: her wealth, her family status, her beauty and her religion/piety. So you should marry the religious woman otherwise you will be a loser.” [Sahih Bukhari] Getting the prerequisite right is an important step towards making a success of marriage. Anas ibn Malik(RadiAllah Anhu) reported: Umar ibn Al-Khattab(RadiAllah Anhu) saw me while I was praying near a grave and he raised his voice saying, “The grave (al-qabar)!” I thought he said the moon (al-qamar), so I raised my head to the sky to look. Umar came and he said, “Indeed, I said the grave. Do not pray towards it.” Musnaf Abdur Razzaq Hadith# 1524,Sahih

Ibn Abbas narrated that the Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "The Black Stone descended from Paradise, and it was more white than milk, then it was blackened by the sins of the children of Adam." [Jami at-Tirmidhi - hasan hadith] This narration is a proof that when the Black Stone descended from Paradise it was white and became black by absorbing the sins of the children of Adam (alaihis salam) who touch it.

Narrated Anas (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.W) said: "Every son of Adam commits sin, and the best of those who commit sin are those who repent." [Sunan Ibn Majah, Book of Zuhd, Hadeeth No.4251]

Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “By Him in whose hand is my soul, none of you will enter Paradise until you believe (have eeman), and none of you will believe until you love each other. Shall I not tell you of something which if you do, will create love among you? Increase the custom of greeting each other with ‘as-Salamu alaykum.’” [Sahih Muslim] Let us increase our love for each other with this simple formula. Loving our brothers and sisters, will help us gain eeman/belief and belief is the key to Paradise. Additional recommended etiquettes of greeting are that, "The younger person should greet the older one, and the walking person should greet the sitting one, and the small number of persons should greet the large number of persons." [Sahih Bukhari]

Al-Abbas bin Abdul-Muttalib (radi Allahu anhu) said: "I was in the company of the Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) on the day of (the battle of) Hunain. Abu Sufyan bin Al-Harith and I did not leave the Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) throughout the battle. The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) was on his white mule. When the Muslims had an encounter with the pagans, Muslims took to their heels. The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) began to urge his mule towards the disbelievers, holding the bridle of his mule. I was trying to restrain it from going very fast, and Abu Sufyan was holding the stirrup of the mule of the Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam). The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, "O Abbas! ‘Umar ibn al-Khattaab (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: On the day of Badr, the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) looked at the mushrikeen, who were one thousand strong, and his companions numbered three hundred and nineteen.  Then the Prophet of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) turned to face the qiblah, then he stretched forth his hands and started to cry out to his Lord: “O Allaah, grant me what You have promised me, O Allaah, give me what You have promised me. O Allaah, if this small band of Muslims perishes, You will not be worshipped on earth." He kept on crying out to his Lord, stretching forth his hands, facing towards the qiblah, until his cloak fell from his shoulders.  Sahih Muslim Hadith#1763 al-Nawawi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said in Sharh Muslim: This shows that it is mustahabb to face towards the qiblah when making du’aa’, and to raise the hands.

Amir bin Sa'd (RA) reported on the authority of his father that one day Allah's Messenger (S.A.W.W) came from a high, land. He passed by the mosque of Banu Mu'awiya, went in and observed two Rak'ahs there and we also observed prayer along with him and he made a long supplication to his Lord.  He then came to us and said: "I asked my Lord three things and He has granted me two but has withheld one. I begged my Lord that my Ummah should not be destroyed because of famine and He granted me this. And I begged my Lord that my Ummah should not be destroyed by drowning (by deluge) and He granted me this. And I begged my Lord that there should be no bloodshed among the people of my Ummah, but He did not grant it." [Saheeh Muslim, Book of Tribulations and Portents of the Last Hour, Hadeeth No.2890]

Anas b. Malik(RadiAllah Anhu) reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: That one amongst the denizens of Hell who had led a life of ease and plenty amongst the people of the world would be made to dip in Fire only once on the Day of Resurrection and then it would be said to him:  O, son of Adam, did you find any comfort, did you happen to get any material blessing? He would say: By Allah, no, my Lord. And then that person from amongst the persons of the world be brought who had led the most miserable life (in the world) from amongst the inmates of Paradise and he would be made to dip once in Paradise and it would be said to him: O, son of Adam, did you face, any hardship? Or had any distress fallen to your lot? And he would say: By Allah, no, O my Lord, never did I face any hardship or experience any distress. Sahih Muslim Book 039, Hadith Number 6738.

It is authentically narrated that a Companion asked the Prophet (salla Allah alayhi wa sallam), "O Messenger of Allah! If everything has already been decreed, then why should anyone do anything?!" To which he replied, "Go ahead and do [actions], for each person will find that whatever was decreed for him will be what is easiest for him to do" [Reported by al-Bukhari]. This beautiful and profound narration gives us many benefits, of which I'll only mention two for this post. Firstly, we see the Companions themselves asking deeply philosophical and theologically complex questions. In fact this question has troubled humanity from the most ancient of times! If everything has already been decreed then what is the point of doing anything? This exact question is still asked to this day. Secondly, in the response of the Prophet (SAW) we find the perfect answer to this complex question. Notice that the answer did NOT attempt to give an abstract, theoretical response...

Abu Darda (RA) said: The Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.W) said, "When a person curses somebody or something, the curse goes up to heaven and the gates of heaven get closed. Then it comes down to the earth and its gates get closed. Then it turns right and left, and if it does not find an entrance to go anywhere, it returns to the person or thing that was cursed, if he or it deserves to be cursed, otherwise it returns to the person who uttered it." [Sunan Abu Dawood, Book of Al-Adab (Manners), Hadeeth No.4905 (Hasan - Al-Albani)]

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "Those who exaggerate will be ruined; those who exaggerate will be ruined; those who exaggerate will be ruined." [Sahih Muslim] Simple advice that we can start changing our lives with! Speech that is devoid of exaggeration is almost necessarily devoid of lying. For if a person is careful enough to avoid even exaggeration, it is not possible that they would be careless enough to lie. And one who avoids lying stays on the path to Jannah.

Narrated Abu Musa(RadiAllah Anhu): The Prophet (S.A.W.W) said, "I saw in a dream that I was migrating from Mecca to a land where there were date palm trees. I thought that it might be the land of Al-Yamama or Hajar, but behold, it turned out to be Yathrib (i.e. Medina). And I saw cows (being slaughtered) there, but the reward given by Allah is better (than worldly benefits). Behold, those cows proved to symbolize the believers (who were killed) on the Day (of the battle) of Uhud, and the good (which I saw in the dream) was the good and the reward and the truth which Allah bestowed upon us after the Badr battle. Narrated Abu Hurairah (RA): I heard Allah's Messenger (S.A.W.W) saying, "Verily Allah created Mercy. The day He created it, He made it into one hundred parts. He withheld with Him ninety-nine parts, and sent it's one part to all His creatures. Had the non-believer known of all the Mercy which is in the Hands of Allah, he would not lose hope of entering Paradise, and had the believer known of all the punishment which is present with Allah, he would not consider himself safe from the Hell-Fire." [Saheeh Al-Bukhari, Book of Ar-Riqaaq (To make the Heart Tender), Hadeeth No.6469]

Narrated Abu Hurairah (RA): The Prophet (S.A.W.W) said, "None of you should say: 'O Allah! Forgive me if You wish,' or 'Bestow Your Mercy on me if You wish,' or 'Provide me with means of subsistence if You wish,' but he should be firm in his request, for Allah does what He will and nobody can force Him (to do anything)." [Saheeh Al-Bukhari, Book of Tawheed, Hadeeth No.7477]

Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Whoever has forbearance Allah will help him. Whoever tries to be independent, Allah will enrich him. Whoever tries to be patient, Allah will give him patience. And no one is given a better or vaster gift than patience.” [related from Imam Malik in Muwatta] Forbearance is the reservoir from which spring other beautiful qualities of character. Generosity cannot happen unless one is content/does sabr with what one has; bravery cannot exist in a person unless he/she can have patience with the consequences; kindness exists in a person when they consider others and not give prime importance to themselves, rather exhibit patience with their own situation. Abu Rafi' reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Whoever washes and covers the dead body of a Muslim, Allah will forgive him forty times. Whoever digs a grave for him and buries him, he will have a reward like one who provides shelter until the day of Resurrection. Whoever shrouds him, Allah will clothe him on the Day of Resurrection with the silk of Paradise." Sunan Al-Kubra Al-Bayhaqi Hadith#6144,Sahih

Narrated Abdullah bin Amr (RA): Allah's Messenger (S.A.W.W) said, "It is one of the greatest sins that a man should curse his parents." It was asked, "O Allah's Messenger (S.A.W.W)! How does a man curse his parents?" The Prophet (S.A.W.W) said, "'The man abuses the father of another man and the latter abuses the father of the former and abuses his mother." [Saheeh Al-Bukhari, Book of Manners, Hadeeth No.5973]

Ibn 'Abbas(RadiAllah Anhu) reported Allah's Messenger (S.A.W.W) as saying: The influence of an evil eye is a fact; If anything would precede the destiny it would be the influence of an evil eye, and when you are asked to take bath (as a cure) from the influence of an evil eye, you should take bath. Sahih Muslim Hadith#2188

It was narrated that Anas (radi Allahu anhu) said: "The Messenger of Allah passed by a dome-shaped structure at the door of a man among the Ansar and said, 'What is this?' They said, 'A dome that was built by so and so.' The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: 'All wealth that is like this (extravagant) will bring evil consequences to its owner on the Day of Resurrection.' News of that reached the Ansari, so he demolished it. Then the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) passed by (that place) later on and did not see it. He asked about it and was told that its owner had demolished it because of what he had heard from him. He said, 'May Allah have mercy on him, may Allah have mercy on him.'" Abdullah (RA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.W) said: "The believer does not insult the honor of others, nor curse, nor commit Fahishah, nor is he foul." [Jami' At-Tirmidhi, Hadeeth No.1977 (Hasan)]

Ka'b bin Iyad (RA) narrated that the Prophet (S.A.W.W) said: "Indeed there is a Fitnah for every Ummah, and the Fitnah for my Ummah is wealth." [Jami' At-Tirmidhi, Book of Zuhd, Hadeeth No.2336]

It was narrated that Jabir bin Abdullah (radi Allahu anhu) said: "The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) sent us, three hundred men, carrying our provisions on our necks. Our provisions ran out until there would be for (every) man among us one date (a day)." Then it was said, "O Abu Abdullah, how can one date satisfy a man?" He replied, "When we no longer had it, we realized how much it was worth. Then we came to the sea and found a whale that had been thrown up by the sea, and we ate from it for eighteen days." “Anas (radi Allahu anhu) narrated that the people of Banu Mustaliq sent him to the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) to ascertain to whom they should pay Zakat after him. The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, ‘Pay to Abu Bakr.’ Anas (radi Allahu anhu) told them what the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) had said. They again sent him to enquire as to whom they should pay the Zakat to if something happened to Abu Bakr. The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, ‘Then pay to Umar.’ When Anas (radi Allahu anhu) informed them, they again sent him back to the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) to find out whom they should pay Zakat to after Umar. Thawban (RA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.W) said: "The Hour shall not be established until tribes of my Ummah unite with the idolaters, and until they worship idols. And indeed there shall be thirty imposters in my Ummah, each of them claiming that he is a Prophet. And I am the last of the Prophets, there is no Prophet after me." [Jami At-Tirmidhi, Book of Tribulations, Hadeeth No.2219 (Saheeh)]

It was narrated from Ibn Umar (radi Allahu anhu) that the Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "If anyone of you knew what was wrong with being alone, no one would travel at night by himself." [Sahih Bukhari] In Allah's Infinite Mercy, He warned us through the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) about those things that are beyond our senses to perceive. To protect us we have been warned, men and women, against traveling alone, especially at night.

Narrated Abdullah bin Hisham (RA): We were with the Prophet (S.A.W.W) and he was holding the hand of Umar bin Al-Khattab (RA). Umar (RA) said to Him, "O Allah's Messenger (S.A.W.W)! You are dearer to me than everything except my own self." The Prophet (S.A.W.W) said, "No, by Him in Whose Hand my soul is, (you will not have complete faith) till I am dearer to you than your own self." Then Umar (RA) said to him, "However, now, by Allah, you are dearer to me than my own self." The Prophet (S.A.W.W) said, "Now, O Umar, (now you are a believer). It was narrated that Aisha (radi Allahu anha) said: "When he was ill, the Messenger of Allah said, 'I would like to have some of my Companions with me.' We said, 'O Messenger of Allah! Shall we call Abu Bakr for you?' but he remained silent. We said, 'Shall we call Umar for you?' But he remained silent. We said, 'Shall we call Uthman for you?' He said, 'Yes.' So Uthman came and he spoke to him in private. The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) started to speak to him and Uthman's expression changed."
